Our Founder, reflecting on the average homeowner laying in bed at night, ruminating over the unknown high cost of roof replacement, in addition to funding their children’s university plans, keeping their cars running and all of the other expenses of daily life, sought to give them peace of mind.

South of the border, roof coatings have been successfully used for many years to add durability, longevity, and beauty to roofs over the last couple of decades. Endeavoring to come up with a Canadian solution for our harsh winters and climate, we had a chemist develop a proprietary acrylic-based formula to lock the stone granules in place to provide a clear, attractive, and updated finish to any roof.

Why do we care about stones? Shingles provide a base, like a mat, to hold a matrix of crushed stone and materials that protect the roof from UV radiation. As shingles age, the repeated heating and cooling cycles over time results in the loosening of these stones, which end up in your eavestroughs/gutters. The result is that the unprotected shingles dry out in the sun and begin to curl, indicating a need for replacement.
